Maryland Health Alliances belief is that all human beings have the potential for growth and positive change. Stigmas of mental illness can have devastating effects. It prevents some people from accessing the support and professional help and breeds shame and secrecy, which can significantly worsen a person’s condition as well as their prognosis — even to a point of being life-threatening. Treatment is based on identifying and supporting the inner strengths of children, adults and families to better cope with personal and environmental stress such as:

Bipolar Disorder
Parent/child issues
Marital conflicts/divorce
Couple’s Therapy
Effects of substance abuse on self and family
Mood disorders including anxiety and depression
Adjustment disorders related to job loss
Death in the family and personal injury
Incest/abuse and domestic violence
Trauma and post-traumatic stress disorders

Services offered to address these issues are:

Psychosocial assessments
Psychiatric evaluations
Psychological testing
Individual, family and group therapy
Medication Management
Crisis intervention

All Major Insurances are accepted, including Maryland Medicaid.   Please call for a complete list.  A sliding-scale fee is available for those without health insurance.
